General Comment I prefer this to the original. General Comment i love placebo, but only the pixies do this song justice tbh. General Comment The Placebo version sounds exactly like the Pixies version, unlike most Placebo covers which change the tone dramatically. General Comment I personally prefer this to the Pixies version, although they're both good.

General Comment this song reminds me of fight club :D best film ever!! Ooh-ooooooohhh… Stop! Instead, Where Is My Mind? Apparently he wrote it after going scuba diving in the Caribbean, and there was a little fish that seemed to be following him….

Where Is My Mind? That can only be a good thing, right? Following that, our list of movie appearances by the original version of the song.

Buy now at JB Hi-Fi. Oh well, lie back and think of the mechanical royalties…. Janis and John This French flick certainly has a wacky premise: a dodgy insurance salesman who needs plenty of quick bucks tries to extract them from his hippie cousin by organising the second coming of John Lennon and Janis Joplin. Welcome to Me This Kristen Wiig dramedy sees her charcater Alice win a massive lottery, after which she ditches her psychiatric meds and with Oprah-esque visions of grandeur buys her own talk show.

Wheeled swan and all. Knock Knock Well, this fetid piece of trash from Eli Roth had to have at least one redeeming feature. The recording took place in and was released on the Surfer Rosa album the following year. We worked with Steve Albini in the studio. Sonically, if you had to pick a song to sum up our band this would be it.

I only listen to the original when it comes on in a coffee shop or something. Some people credit Fight Club for bringing the song to a larger audience. It was a great scene that highlighted it, so I suppose there must be some truth there.

I get offers once a week for yet another advertisement, movie or TV show to use it. I say yes to all of them. We recorded in a modest studio in Boston but it sounded great. The band played well and my job was pretty easy. There were parts of the song that needed a dynamic blow-up where things would get heavier but the band were playing through really small amps.

I suggested some Marshall amps for the big loud parts — they took to that like a fish to water.
